Test Connections
To connect the 2630 to a DUT, first connect the black return test lead to the return output jack on the front panel of the 2630. Then connect the high current lead (w/red clip) into the high current output jack on the front panel.
Next attach the black return clip to exposed or dead metal located on the chassis of the DUT. Always connect the ground return first. Then connect the high current lead to the ground/earthing contact.

2630 & 2900 Series Interconnection
The 2630 and the 2900 series of instruments can be interconnected together to form a complete test system. First connect one end of the return cable with the double banana plug connectors (p/n 99-1007-01) to the return jack on the 2900 series instrument. Connect the other end on the interconnect jack on the rear panel of the 2630.
You have the choice to perform your hipot and ground bond testing sequentially (ground bond first, then hipot) or simultaneously (ground bond and hipot at the same time).
For sequential testing use the following connections:
Locate the cable marked "99-10003-01 SEQUENTIAL." Attach the male connector (male connector with blue tubing) with two cables coming from it, to the female input connector of the 2630. Attach the shorter of the two remaining cables with female connectors (female connector with blue tubing), to the male output connector of the 2630 and the longer cable to the male signal input/output connector (female connector with red tubing) on the rear panel of the Hipot.
For simultaneous testing, use the following cable connections:
Locate the cable marked "99-10004-01 SIMULTANEOUS." Attach the male connector (male connector with blue tubing) with two cables coming from it, to the female input connector of the 2630. Attach the shorter of the two remaining cables with female connectors (female connector with blue tubing), to the male output connector of the 2630 and the longer cable to the male signal input/output connector (female connector with red tubing) on the rear panel of the Hipot.
After Sequential or Simultaneous testing is set up you can connect the system to a DUT. First plug the return lead into the front panel return output jack on the 2630. Then plug the high current output lead from the adapter box into the front panel high current output jack on the 2630. Next, plug the high voltage lead from the adapter box into the front panel high voltage jack on the 2900 Series instrument. You can then plug the DUT into the adapter box
